OPERATIONAL STANDARDS
Safety & Requirements
Participation in Hike Club missions requires strict adherence to safety protocols.
01. Administrative & Digital
| Rescue Protocol | Installation of the HZS mobile application is mandatory. Members must ensure location services are enabled. |
| Insurance | Active mountain rescue insurance (poistenie do hôr) is required for all high-altitude missions. |
| Navigation | Offline cached maps via Mapy.cz are required. Cellular data is unreliable in alpine valleys. |
02. Equipment Standards
| Footwear | Technical hiking boots with high ankle support and Vibram soles. Sneakers are prohibited. |
| Layering | Three-layer system: Moisture-wicking base, insulating mid, and waterproof hard shell. |
03. Field Conduct
The Lead Hiker's Directive: In the event of adverse weather, the Mission Lead's decision to retreat is final. We operate on a "Leave No Trace" policy.
